T5W | Hidden Gems: Thrillers

I absolutely love it when you read a book that someone has recommended that you are quite sure that you would never have discovered and read without them. I love discovering hidden gems in genres I love, and genres that I’ve never actually read before. I love lots of different books, but one of my favourite genres is thrillers. There are lots of thrillers around, some well known and some lesser known, so it’s time to share some of the hidden gems!

Friday Reads: 24 in 48 Readathon Sign-Up

So it’s that time again folks, time to over-commit to reading a ridiculous amount in 48hrs for the sake of good fun and a difficult challenge. I made that sound like no fun at all. I am actually super excited!! I took part in the last readathon in January (see here, and here). The premise of the readathon in super easy and very simple:  Try to read for 24hrs in a 48hr period this weekend. Seems easy enough to attempt, if you have the weekend off and stuff. And this time, I kinda do have the weekend off. It’s my Dad’s birthday on Sunday, so there is a family gathering for that, and I am back in work after a period of recovery from the car crash, so I’d like to feel ready for that, but otherwise, I’m good for trying to read for 24hrs this weekend. Book Haul #3

Sooo….here we are again. I know what I said in mid-March OK? I know I admitted to an addiction, and I know that I told you all that I was thinking about limiting amount of books that I would buy (again) but then I didn’t. At all. In any way. Since March 19th, when I posted Book Haul #2, I have bought, received, been given, acquired, 23 books in total. OK, so on the day of posting, that averages more than a book every 3 days. Sigh. I give in.

*I’ve struggled with blogging recently so this is a little out of date and will be followed shortly by #4. Don’t judge Haha!!

OK, so it probably isn’t true, but that is what I am telling myself to make this seem less late. I can’t believe we are nearly through a quarter of the year already. Time flies. Continue reading
