Book Travelling Thursday: Happy World Smile Day!

I’ve left it a little late to post today. I’d love to say it was because I was thinking hard about this week’s theme, but in reality, it was because I spent it on the phone to my Aunt, watching Gilmore Girls, going to the opticians (I apparently have very nice and oxygenated corneas??) and finally, going to Dobbie’s Garden Centre Christmas Evening.

Bout of Books 13 Round-Up

I can’t believe Bout of Books is over already. I feel like it was only yesterday that I signed up to Bout of Books 12! I don’t think I did that well this time round, but I have my reasons I guess. How was your readathon?

Bout of Books Day 5

So the problems with our van are still there. They didn’t look at it yesterday, so we are still stuck in Canberra, well Queanbeyan, in the library, doing nothing useful. Well that bit isn’t true, but we aren’t on our way, or in Melbourne yet, so it’s not the useful we want.

Bout of Books – Day 4 (a little late)

Yet more van drama! This time, it is not a leak, but warning lights on the dashboard that suggest a problem with the catalytic converter and our brakes. Just what you want before a 650km drive to Melbourne. As lovely as Canberra is, I don’t want to be stuck here longer than I have to be, and who knows how long this sort of problem is going to take to fix. Oh well, let’s hope it doesn’t set us too far back and that I can get a fair amount of reading done in the spare time that we now have.

Making up for Monday

It has been a while since I have done this because my Monday’s haven’t needed making up for, but as I sit in a hotel lobby because our pick-up is now not leaving until 3 hours after it’s scheduled time, I have decided to rekindle it, because why not?
