At the end of last year, I decided to compile a list of resolutions for 2017 in the hope of improving various aspects of my life. I set myself some rather large goals, and as I have a tendency to set them and the completely forget what they are, I have decided to check in with my progress over the year. At the end of March, a quarter of the way through the year, I posted a quarterly check in (which can be found here). I wanted to check back in and see how I was getting on with them, and it’s safe to say that it’s not exactly going to plan. Just to recap, my New Years Resolutions can be found here. Continue reading

So, now as a quarter of the year has gone, it seems like the perfect time to check my progress for January, February, and March. Just to recap, my New Years Resolutions can be found here. 2016 has been a mixed year overall really. I’ve really settled into a job I enjoy, and have got into a routine of making my way to work, maximising my day there, and making it home with minimal effort and wasted time. I’ve moved out into my own place, and I have welcomed the lovely Emma to Liverpool and our house, and I have travelled to some great new places. While 2016 has seen some global nightmares, questionable political decisions, and too many celebrity deaths to entertain, it has been a fairly solid year for me personally. 2015 is upon us, signalling a new year full of new challenges and of course, new resolutions. I completed a post all about my resolutions for 2015/2558 resolutions and New Years Eve here, so I won’t go repeating myself too much.

Due to my location, I am in fact hours ahead of this years read-a-thon. When I go on Bout of Books, the countdown clock says it doesn’t start for another 6 hours (ish). But as it’s 7am here, I am beginning in earnest, and have packed a copy of 4 of the 5 books on my TBR, just in case. I have from 8am until 1pm free on a Monday at school, not including the flag ceremony, which should be plenty of time to shift through some pages. OK, so I have to attend the hospital to follow my rabies injection schedule, but I’m hoping waiting times aren’t as long here as they are back home.
It is officially New Year in Bangkok, so HAPPY NEW YEAR!! It’s just entered the year 2558 in Thailand, 2015 is already here, signalling over 3 months or travelling, and yet another unbelievable, unforgettable, and extraordinary event in a crazy adventure.
It seems almost poetic that my 100th blog post is for New Year!
