We’re just a few short days from the launch of A Series of Unfortunate Events season 2 on Netflix. I’m excited, and so to prepare, I’m micro-reviewing all of the books in the miserably amazing series. Last month, I looked at books 1-7, reviewing the undoubtedly tragic lives of the Baudelaire orphans, and so this Monday evening I’ve rounded the last 6 books up into one tidy list.

I absolutely love a good children’s book. Who doesn’t, right? Last year I embarked on a re-read of the full set of Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events and loved reliving the ridiculous and slightly out there stories surrounding the Baudelaire Orphans. The new Netflix Series starts next month, so, I thought I would do a 140 Character Review post to get ready for the launch. I’m so excited for season 2!

Bout of Books 17: Day 1

It is that wonderful time of year again where I remember how much I enjoy simultaneously reading and blogging and throw myself into the delightfully low-key and friendly Bout of Books readathon. I like doing a quick Top 5 Wednesday, and this week is such a good one that I couldn’t resist! This week, T5W is favourite first lines from books. And unlike some weeks, it was quite simple, no ruling things out and no struggling to think of the last option. Once again, there is a children’s book theme. I just can’t help it:
