Friday Reads: Holiday TBR

Holidays are coming…Holidays are coming….I have holiday fever and I’m not afraid to let it show. I’ve had a difficult couple of months with one thing or another, and have been looking forward to this holiday for a little while now, so I’m glad it’s finally here!! And with a holiday comes time, enjoyment, excitement, and holiday reads. I am still taking part in #TheReadingQuest, so my holiday reads are to tie in with this. Or that’s the plan anyway!  Continue reading

Roseau, Dominica

Dominica, the island I had been most looking forward to visiting, the island that wowed me most while I was there, the island that made me want to go back, and the island that instantly became my favourite. It is easy to see how it got the name ‘The Nature Isle’, and of all the islands, it is the one that I am most pleased we got a tour for!

Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis

Do you know what is great to celebrate with a beer, in the sun, on a Caribbean Island? Pay day. Yep, that is what I did on the second stop of our cruise ship. So, now as a quarter of the year has gone, it seems like the perfect time to check my progress for January, February, and March. Just to recap, my New Years Resolutions can be found here. Tortola, British Virgin Islands

When you think of the Caribbean, you think of white sandy beaches, and clear blue waters. You think of palm tress and coconuts. You think of doing nothing all day but relaxing in the sun, in the warmth, with a book, taking the odd dip in the sea. Well, you’re pretty much thinking of the British Virgin Islands. Adulting: Post-Holiday

Holidays, vacations, trips, breaks, whatever you like to call them, they are great. We get away from the mundane and repetitive existence of home and working life, and explore new places, see new things, taste new food and drinks, and (usually) relax. And then you get home, and everything that was going on before you went away is still going on, and there is stuff you need to do that you didn’t realise was a thing. Why is adulting so hard? Friday Favourites: Top Cruise Tips

Welcome to another edition of Friday Favourites. Last time, I talked all about my favourite destinations within North America, and was all ready to think about going down under for my next post. Between then and now, I went on a cruise, and thought it would be fun (and hopefully) useful to do a post on all my favourite cruise tips that I collected and found helpful when I was away.

Friday favourites is a fortnightly post featuring travel tips, guides, advice, and thoughts based on my travel experiences!
