London: Day 3

London is a pretty incredible city that has things to do in all weather. It was a good job really, as the rain from Sunday had morphed into driving rain when we woke up on Monday. Thankfully, we had a great day planned, one that we had been looking forward to a year, so the rain wasn’t quite so much of a hardship. The whole point of this London trip was to see Hamilton, and after a nervous time waiting for the theatre to be finished and the previews to be rearranged, we knew that the time was finally here.

Fat Friday: Week 11

Welcome back folks! This week has been full of ups and downs, pretty much the highest of highs and the lowest of lows, neither of which contribute towards the best of weight loss weeks! I’ve been off since last Friday, a mixture of holidays and well timed rotas, so I’ve tried to make the most of it in London, and preparing at home for Christmas.

Fat Friday is a weekly blog post tracking my weight loss and fitness journey, used to keep myself accountable, keep a record of my progress, and share hints & tips that have helped me. To track my progress, or read my previous entries, click here.

Fat Friday: Week 10

Right now, as I am typing this, there is a layer of snow (albeit a very thin pathetic layer) on my car. (It’s similar to the level of snow I have discovered I can have as a feature on my blog). We rarely get snow in Liverpool. And even more rarely get snow in December. This is momentous, thank you Storm Caroline. I’m also getting ready for Christmas; I have started wrapping, and I am thinking about Christmas cards, and my advent calendars are being enjoyed. I just love this time of year! I am also looking forward to a weekend away in London with Emma, a weekend that we have been planning since January 16th.

Adulting: Commuting

I have been working at Avios for approaching 18 months now, and it has so far been a great success. I enjoy my job, the field I work in, and I love the people I work with. The only downside, if any, is the distance between my home and my workplace. When I moved into my place, I knew how far it was away, and chose a place that had good access to my job, and yes, I chose to live in Liverpool rather than an area closer to my workplace, but that doesn’t remove the inevitable 50 mile round trip I do every day I go to work. Tag: Music

Music is something that pretty much everyone listens to or plays in their everyday life, and evokes strong emotions and debates amongst different people. I like music, but I wouldn’t say I love it, or that I am a connoisseur, so when I saw this little tag on Hayley’s blog, I thought it was a great thing to do. Continue reading
