Down the TBR Hole #5

Welcome back to this actually quite regular and cathartic feature one my blog! I am really enjoying culling my TBR list down to books I actually have an interest in reading and want to keep on my list. It’s fascinating to see what past Liz thought would be good to add on my list, and trying to understand why added books that I don’t actually remember ever seeing or clicking on! Down the TBR Hole #4 saw a cull of romance and Belinda Jones biting the proverbial dust, whereas this week’s edition is a little more varied and if I am being quite honest, interesting! ! Today we start at 231 books, let’s see what happens!

So, how does it work?

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

Down the TBR Hole #3

Happy Saturday everybody, and welcome to a re-occuring feature on my blog called ‘Down the TBR Hole’. The idea is to get the number of books on your TBR down to a surmountable and manageable amount but checking what has been added over the years and getting rid of those books that no longer float your boat! It’s been a few weeks since Down the TBR Hole #2, and even though I have been reading quite a bit, I have also been acquiring books too (oops) so my current TBR sits at 247 books.

So, how does it work?

  • Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
  • Order on ascending date added.
  • Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
  • Read the synopses of the books
  • Decide: keep it or should it go?

As I read, some of the books I have chosen may replace the ones that already fulfil the challenge requirement – mainly so the same authors don’t appear over and over again!

There will some inevitable overlap with my 2015 Reading Challenge.
