Fat Friday: Week 27

I don’t want to get you all excited and stuff, but, it’s been quite nice over the past couple of days. Not like a bit grey and not raining, but bright, and sunny, and not freezing. Is this is? Has winter 2018 finally ended? I hope so, April isn’t supposed to be cold and dreary.

March: It’s a Wrap

Happy Easter everyone! Welcome to Spring (if you can call it that), longer days, and warmer temperatures. I feel like the weather is making a mockery of the concept of Spring right now, but here we are. Maybe it’s Mother Nature’s April Fool’s joke? I’ve been to my parent’s house for a Sunday dinner of casserole potatoes, braised potatoes, and lemon mousse, and it was pretty good.

I do, however, feel terrible. I have a headache, sore throat, and my sinuses are hurting. Add to that the weird feeling of disorientation and a lack of concentration, now is a perfect time to look at better things. A whole month has gone by since my February Wrap Post and it’s been a good reading month. Yes, I read some rubbish, but I managed to read and listen to quite a few books. The problem? Well, now as I have crossed off many of my challenges, some of my reads no longer fulfil a challenge when I finish them. Oh well, it’s not going to stop me reading what I want to read.  Continue reading “March: It’s a Wrap”

Fat Friday: Week 26

Not only is it Fat Friday again today, but it’s also Good Friday! As the UK shuts down and goes into long weekend mode, I’m looking forward to a weekend in work and lots of reading. Easter has creeped up on me this year and I haven’t taken advantage of the mini eggs and hot cross buns like I should have, but, I’m doing a readathon to make up for it because even though it makes no logical sense, I thought it was a good idea. I’m tired and jabbering, this is probably going to be short.

Easter Readathon | Sign Up, Goals, and TBR

Good evening guys! Easter is round the corner, and by round the corner I do mean this weekend. We all like a good excuse for a long weekend, and Easter boasts not just one but two bank holiday days. Sadly, I don’t work in a job that means I get a super long weekend, but for those of you who do, I hope you’re enjoying the thought of four work free days. It’s absolutely perfect time to get reading, so what better time for the year’s next readathon. Yes, I’m in work on Friday, Saturday, and Monday, but I am planning on getting some serious reading done, hopefully completing some of the books that have stood on my currently reading and TBR shelves for a while.
