It’s the weekend, yay! I had to work early, boo! It’s the second twitter chat day, yay! It’s the second to last day of Bout of Books 24, boo! Bout of Books 24: Day 5

You guys I’m tired. It’s supposed to be the end of the week, but I don’t have that Thank God It’s Friday feeling because my next day off is actually next Thursday. I know it’s my own fault, shift swaps and what not, but its leaving me with no energy left to read. That’s it, enough moaning, onwards and upwards now as I have had my mini rant. We have 3 days left of this readathon, let’s see how much we can all read.

Bout of Books 24: Day 3

Today is a much needed and hugely appreciated day off from work, and even though there is lots to do around the house, I think I am going to try and have a bit of a relaxing day, because once today has gone, I don’t have another day off until next Thursday. I am really enjoying the actual reading in Bout of Books 24. I have been so busy with work that I must confess that I haven’t done as much chatting and socialising with you all yet, but I am loving what I am reading and I really enjoyed the sprinting last night. I am thinking about doing some more this afternoon, would you be up for that?

Around The Year In 52 Books | 2019

Evening all, I hope you’re all well and not stuck in any form of rut in this middle ground between Christmas and New Year. We’re quite lucky in our house, my Mum’s birthday falls on the 28th December so we usually do something to celebrate and it’s a good way of seeing through this Chrimbo Limbo. It’s a time I like to use to think about what worked and what didn’t work throughout the year and things that I would like to carry on with, or start ready for the new year.

With this in mind, I’ve been thinking about books, readathons, and reading challenges. The year is nearly out and I think I am going to really struggle to complete 2018’s Around the Year in 52 Books challenge but I have quite enjoyed this particular one. I wrote about my struggles and feelings relating to this sort of thing a few days ago and now as I have thought about it, I have chosen this as the only year long reading challenge I am going to attempt in 2019.

As the year goes by and I begin to fulfil the challenges, I plan to update the list and state which book I read. I am also planning on updating my Goodreads throughout. If you decide to take part too then there is a great Goodreads group that is the epicentre of all things relating to the reading challenge and has hints and ideas if you’re struggling for an idea in a particular area!

Bout of Books 22: Day 5

I know, I know, I didn’t post yesterday and I actually feel pretty rubbish about that fact. I’ve really not been at my best over the past 24hrs, and ended up doing a lot of things that were house related and pretty much no reading. Oops, oh well. I can’t believe tomorrow is the weekend, that we’re so far through this week, it’s crazy! I have the honour of hosting today’s Space Scavenger Hunt challenge, hope you love it!

Bout of Books 21: Day 5

Its already Friday. I just cant believe it. Where has this week gone? Its almost halfway through January already. Ahhhhh. I’ve actually had a pretty awesome week so far. I feel like I’m back on track with reading, I’ve made new friends and connected with old ones. I’ve enjoyed blogging and tweeting. I’ve just been having a good time. It’s a shame I have to work this weekend or I’d be able to get some serious reading done!! I did finish my second and third books yesterday, although I still haven’t done the challenge. It will go back and do it because it was a real good’un.
