Book Riot Read Harder | 2019 Challenge

Here we are again folks! I know that I said I wasn’t going to do this year’s challenge, but I have changed my mind and decided that I wanted to give it a go. I have been reading a lot more diversely naturally anyway, so I thought I would see how I was doing and see if I could get close to completing this year’s list! I do love a good reading challenge, and this one looks really good in my reading journal too, so it was too much to resist!

March TBR

Yo guys, it’s the end of February! I know, it’s crazy that we’re headed into March already, but it’s blowing a blizzard outside and is bloody freezing, so if you’re a winter bunny, you’ve got a bit to go yet.

There is still a little bit of February left so I haven’t committed to writing my wrap for the fear I’ll finish a book before the end of the month, so, I’ve decided to think ahead to next month. March is a month that’s long, and cold, and is the transition between the winter and being poor, and the spring and being hopeful. I have tried to read some more respectable fiction (and non-fiction) over the past couple of months and have done quite well, so to keep those efforts on track and to make sure I’m still ticking off challenges for Around the Year in 52 Books and Book Riot Read Harder, I’ve done a March TBR. It’s a bit ambitious, but if we’re honest, it always is!

Book Riot Read Harder | 2018 Challenge

I absolutely love a good readathon or year long reading challenge, and in the past I have given the Book Riot Read Harder challenge a cursory go. In previous years I have struggled completing many of the challenges, and have quickly lost energy and motivation. I often found that I was trying to complete the challenges for the sake of it, and not because I actually enjoyed reading the books that fit. I looked at the 2018 list at the beginning of January and just felt that this year it was more manageable, and so I set about attempting to do what I have always failed to do before, and ‘read harder’.

Book Riot Read Harder | 2015 Challenge

This post is going to be used to track my progress for this Book Riot 2015 Read Harder Challenge that I pledged to complete in my 2015 Bookish Resolution post:

A book written by someone when they were under the age of 25

A book written by someone when they were over the age of 65

A self-improvement book (can be traditionally or non-traditionally considered “self-improvement”

Over the course of the year, or the reading challenge, I am going to update this post to reflect the books I have read and the challenges I have completed. As I read, some of the books I have chosen may replace the ones that already fulfil the challenge requirement – mainly so the same authors don’t appear over and over again!

There will some inevitable overlap with my 2015 Reading Challenge.
