I told you that this would follow pretty soon. In fact, Book Haul #5 was only a week ago. Don’t worry, I didn’t acquire all these books in the week that I was away, I had been collecting them for a while and kept forgetting to actually write a post. Yes, I have already started Book Haul #7, but in my defence I haven’t been to a charity shop in a while so I had a tri-purchase accident this morning. I have been doing much better of late and thinking more before I hit buy on Amazon or snaffle all the books in the shop. I even went to big book shops in NYC and left every book on their shelves (it was difficult!)
So, here we are again, looking at more photographs of books that I absolutely did not need but have acquired anyway! This has post has been quite a while in the pipeline now, so some of them I’ve actually already read and enjoyed! Not sure there needs to be anymore pre-amble, let’s get on with the show…
Soooooo, we’re here again already. In my defence, this book haul is only being posted so close to the last one because I was struggling with personal issues surrounding writing posts. I haven’t bought all these books in a couple of weeks That said, it’s still a large number of books to admit to buying, or receiving, since the beginning of the year. Last time round, (view here) I admitted that I was buying lots of books and…well…that’s not changed. I’ve bought 21 books this haul. That’s not too b….who am I kidding, it’s bad. I’m loving it.
Sooo….here we are again. I know what I said in mid-March OK? I know I admitted to an addiction, and I know that I told you all that I was thinking about limiting amount of books that I would buy (again) but then I didn’t. At all. In any way. Since March 19th, when I posted Book Haul #2, I have bought, received, been given, acquired, 23 books in total. OK, so on the day of posting, that averages more than a book every 3 days. Sigh. I give in.
*I’ve struggled with blogging recently so this is a little out of date and will be followed shortly by #4. Don’t judge Haha!!
Last month, I posted the first book haul post of 2017. I have since realised that I have a problem. A very serious problem. You might even call it an addiction. I just love, and can’t stop, buying books. At least I predicted this last time round labelling the post Book Haul #1. I am ‘supposed’ to be limiting the amount of books I purchase in the book department, but I think it is safe to say that particular New Year’d Resolution has firmly gone out of the window already (and we’re only 2 and a half months in). Oops! Continue reading
I saw the lovely Emma had posted a book haul post, which made me think of all the books that I have ‘acquired’ since Christmas. Now, I am not including the books that I received on Christmas, just the ones bought since Christmas Day. I am supposed to be on a book buying limit, but, erm, well, that isn’t going so well. In my defence though, I am reading at a higher rate than I pretty much ever have before, so y’know. I am addicted to books, to buying, owning, and reading them, so it will come as no surprise that I have bought as many as I have, and as you can see (by numbering this post haul #1) I am pretty sure the spending spree on books will most likely continue.
On with the books and the pretty pictures: Continue reading
