Today is a much needed and hugely appreciated day off from work, and even though there is lots to do around the house, I think I am going to try and have a bit of a relaxing day, because once today has gone, I don’t have another day off until next Thursday. I am really enjoying the actual reading in Bout of Books 24. I have been so busy with work that I must confess that I haven’t done as much chatting and socialising with you all yet, but I am loving what I am reading and I really enjoyed the sprinting last night. I am thinking about doing some more this afternoon, would you be up for that?

Updates
9:00am: I can’t believe that on my day off I have been lying awake for over half an hour already. I am glad I woke up because I would have missed my Pandora delivery (they handily give you an hour time slot – 9:02 to 10:02 is extremely specific), but even so, I was looking forward to a proper long lie in and not feeling tired so much. I’m not really feeling up to reading just yet, so I think I’m going to catch up on a bit of TV. I have become quite the fan of Luther, and the new series just aired in the UK, so that should keep me out of trouble for a while! I also need to visit my parents house, my new card has been delivered which should let me survive the misery that is January.
13:00am: I am really not in the mood to sit down and read today which is a real shame. I have started the audiobook for These Rebel Waves but I’m not finding it engaging yet. I’ve got my charms from Pandora finally and my new credit card has arrived though so things are looking up.
16:30pm: It’s blooming freezing today, like sat perishing in lots of layersin the house freezing. I’ve done nothing except nip to the shops so I’m feeling pretty crap about myself. Doing so many shifts, and all early shifts, on the bounce has tired me out. Yes, it’s nice to have a day to do nothing and that’s probably needed, but the house is stressing me out.
20:00pm: I sat and watched TV and decided to have my day off and just do the tidying and cleaning on days I am working in bits. I needed some time to myself to do nothing expect watch TV and recover from loads of early shifts so that’s what I did. I’m caught up with Luther now, which is good and means no spoilers. I’ve decided not to do the challenges today as well which has taken a weight I didn’t know I was carrying. I’m sat now curled on the sofa watching the football. Probably a waste of time but who cares. I’m definitely going to try and have an earlyish night too.
Challenge
I’ve opted not to do today’s challenge as I was tired, and didn’t fully understand it! Let me know what you did for it in the comments below!
What are you reading?
How are you liking Bout of Books 24?
the challenge was very open. I did something simple https://wordsandpeace.com/2019/01/09/bout-of-books-24-day-3-challenge/. A clever blogger came up with sentences to summarize the plot of the book she was reading, and she managed to include both words. Another one linked titles with a key word between them

I think the openness of it was what through me tbh, now as I have read some others I’m like oh duhhh yes. I probably will go back and do it tbh! I was so switched off yesterday and I think anything would have gone over my head!! 🙈
