Evening all, it’s Friday again. You all know what that means even though I didn’t post last week. Yep, it’s time for another update post, and even though I didn’t post, it’s not going to be a long one. I’ve had a busy and somewhat stressful 2 weeks but I didn’t want to go another week without posting so here we are a little late on this Friday evening.
Fat Friday is a weekly blog post tracking my weight loss and fitness journey, used to keep myself accountable, keep a record of my progress, and share hints & tips that have helped me. To track my progress, or read my previous entries, click here.

Work has been, well, busy. A lot has gone on there that has taken up a lot of my time and energy over the past couple of weeks, and sadly I didn’t get the result I was working towards. So yes, I am glad for a weekend off of hopefully stress free reading, blogging, and walking, but this fortnight has left me quite tired and exhausted.
I’ve not exercised in the past 2 weeks, and I almost want to say I feel disgusting. I actually have started to feel substantially worse off when I don’t work out, which is probably a good thing as exercise is good for you, but it’s left me feeling a bit bleurgh and lazy. I am going for a walk this weekend to Tatton Park and I am going to try and get back into the habit of fitting the gym in it once or twice a week around my work schedule.
I’ve even blipped with my reading over the past 2 weeks. I have fallen behind with The Full Monte readathon, and now as the NEWTs readathon has started, I need to get myself back in the reading game. I have worked hard to read The Count of Monte Cristo and I really like Gintare’s idea for this Harry Potter themed bookfest so I need to get stuck in. Hopefully a good night’s sleep and a weekend off will help.
I’ve also been a bit all over the place with eating. It’s had it’s benefits, I think I have eaten a lot less which is less calories overall, but I’ve not eaten particularly healthily. I’ve had a lot of late shifts where I’ve not eaten meals, and I’ve had a lot of snacks in replacement of meals. Yep, I’ve lost weight, which is a great side effect, but it’s not been a healthy way to do that and I don’t think it’s probably helped with the whole exhaustion thing.
WEIGHT: This week: -5lb Total: -35lb
EXERCISE: 0 Sessions
MOOD: Stressfully unstressed
RECIPE/FOOD/SNACK of the week: Nescafé Intenso Decaf
HINTS/TIPS of the week: Don’t drink caffeine at 2pm if you want unbroken sleep
It’s really not been a healthy 2 weeks, but at least I’ve lost weight right? I’m fully expecting to put 1lb or 2lb when I start eating properly and exercising again, but hopefully we’ll keep on down this weight loss track.
Aaaaand breathe. Sounds like you’ve had a stressful time lately! 5lbs isn’t to be sniffed at though. Hopefully you’ll have a nice relaxing weekend and have time to get yourself back into a routine ☺

Yeah a lot has definitely happened, not necessarily for the good but there has been a good weight loss sooooo that’s a good things. I got to Barcelona in 30days, so I’m hopefully going to be able to shed a few more pounds before ALL THE FOOD

Exciting – I love Barcelona! Mmm yeah authentic Spanish food is delicious! I’m going to Dorset 😂 but I’m still excited. At least I don’t have to wear a bikini 😂

I can’t wait. I’ve never been and there is a group of family/friends going so it should be amazing. Hopefully the weather is holiday-tastic for the both of us!
