I’m not going to lie to you folks, I haven’t missed this rain and I am very ready for a couple of days off after what has been a tiring week. I’m not going to be posting a long one today, sometimes short and sweet is the best way to go and what we have time for!
I had this written for Friday, but The Killers ran a lot later than expected, so it’s a little late posting, sorry guys!

I was in work last weekend for the first time in a little while, and I have to say it was odd to be in the office on a Saturday and Sunday, but then have a day off on Monday. I’ve had quite a full on week at work,I’ve done some overtime and made a lot of bookings and I’m starting to understand sales, and I’ve just been in a lot over the nice weather. The office embraced football fever and went all out, and although we were knocked out on Wednesday, it was nice to see everyone coming together.
I re-discovered an old trick this week and went to the gym when the sport was on. I used to do this many years ago when the Champions League was on ITV, so this week I have taken advantage of the screens at the gym and enjoyed watching the tennis and World Cup from the treadmill and exercise bike. I even ventured to the (unsurprisingly) empty gym during the first half of England’s semi-final. Maybe if I’d stayed the whole match….well done lads!
Aside from that, bits and bobs have happened this week, I’ve found my appetite to be a little less now as the heat and humidity has hit a constant level. We’ve had lots of burrito bowls, ice cream, and healthy snacks this week, it’s felt quite summery, and I largely resisted the snacks that were on offer at work for the football!
WEIGHT: This week: -3lb Total: -32lb
EXERCISE: 3 Sessions: 3x Gym
MOOD: Exhausted
RECIPE/FOOD/SNACK of the week: ASDA’s Mint Choc Chip Cones/Watermelon (not at the same time…)
HINTS/TIPS of the week: Go to the gym while sport is on
I’m going to see The Killers at The Macron Stadium in Bolton tonight, so naturally the first time it’s properly rained in the UK would be when Emma and I are going to an outdoor gig. Sigh.
*update* We went, it was dry, it was brilliant, it was a long night and I will tell you all about it next week.
32 LBS IS ALOT! Congrats ::) never give up

Oooh that’s a big loss this week. Yay! Great tip about the gym too. I’ve been walking miles in the last week, we had three days at Silverstone to watch the British Grand Prix which was ridiculously hot but really good (especially the 90’s disco afterwards!) Also have been doing a bit of garden yoga in the sunshine which has been a really nice way to wake up 😊

I’m really pleased with this week 😊 it’s great, the machines had TVs in them so I sat and watched the World cup and the tennis.
I am so jealous that you went to Silverstone, how was it (other than hot haha)? Hope you had a great time!!
That sounds perfect. What a great way to start the day!!

Awesome! Yeah Silverstone was great, it was an amazing race and Lewis did so well, just a shame he didn’t get the win. Then we got to watch the England win on a big screen which was pretty great too – there was thousands of us all dancing on picnic tables! Plus my boyfriend was wearing his Coventry City shirt and loads of other fans came up to talk to us which was lovely. Even got free tea!

That sounds like and awesome weekend. I’ve only ever been to Sepang circuit for a grand prix in Kuala Lumpur, it was such an amazing weekend, one day I’d love to get to Silverstone!

Oh, only Kuala Lumpur?😂😂😂 I bet that was amazing! I’d love to do a foreign F1 race, we’re thinking of Spar in Belgium. This was my seventh British GP, it’s always a brilliant weekend although it’s usually freezing and bucketing it down so this year made a nice change!

I lived in Thailand at the time so it was the closest Grand Prix haha!!! Amazing experience, I really want to do Monza, Spa, and id like to do a USA/Mexico double header if I could.
So pleased the weather held for you, bet it made all the difference 😊😊👍

Wow! Yeah I think Monza would be incredible, I’ve been to Monaco before but not when the GP was on, my friend went and spent £2k in two days! So that might be out of our budget but I’d still like to experience it. USA would be great, I’d like to do Montreal too. Malaysia is my favourite race but I’m not sure I’d cope with the heat!

I just want to do more but can’t justify the cost of Silverstone currently. Montreal would be great, or Brazil, that always used to be my favourite when it was the last circuit on the calendar. One day haha!!
Sepang was a great circuit. We spent £30 on weekend passes, got in the pitlane on practice day, and met 11 out of 20 drivers who signed our programmes, plus a driver in the pit lane and an engineer from Red Bull who had been sent to out end of the circuit to monitor rain and gave us free Red Bull and race updates. Nothing will beat that weekend but I can’t wait to do another one day!!

I know, the tickets are crazy expensive. Then there’s parking and camping and food…yeah. General admission prices aren’t too bad though.
Sepang sounds amazing! Wow! Silverstone is very much like “if you haven’t got a corporate pass you can’t get anywhere near the drivers/infield” although with Liberty Media taking over it’s becoming more fan friendly.

My Aunt lives about 45 mins away. I should look into it more one year!!
Yeah it was amazing, very fan friendly and all done on queuing so as long as you were there and willing to queue you weren’t really disadvantaged by being a general admission ticket holder which is great. Hopefully Liberty will influence that vibe more
