Top Ten Tuesday: Spooktacular Halloween Freebie

tttGuys, I am still sick. My daily blogging has flown miles out of the window as I just don’t have the energy, we had Emma’s birthday, so shopping and calzone had to take a precedence, and it’s been a weekend that was partially full of reading (due to the 24hr readathon). Tonight is the leaving do for the lovely girls in the office that are going travelling for the next few months/years, and I was looking forward to it. Sadly a week of early starts, overtime, and sickness have stopped my plans to see them off, and so instead, I’m remembering to write this post, beginning my NanoWriMo plans, and (re) watchingĀ The Proposal.

Anyway, enough with the whiny moping about my life, and on wards with this spooky themed Top Ten Tuesday post.Ā Ā For all you lovely people who donā€™t know what Top Ten Tuesday is, or donā€™t know how to get involved. click here. The lovely folks at Broke and Bookish team together to produce a book related topic each week, and you simply list the top ten of that topic.

It’s Halloween, folks. It’s time for everyone to test their pumpkin carving prowess, and for all those inner demons, witches, preppy zombies to come out in the form of outrageously costumes. And speaking of costumes, this week’s theme is a Hallowe’en freebie, so I have decided to play on the dress-up theme and list the top 10 literary womenĀ IĀ think would make awesome costumes for Hallowe’en:

  1. Bellatrix LestrangeĀ Harry Potter Series:Ā J K Rowling
  2. GailĀ Sin City:Ā Frank Miller
  3. Violet BaudelaireĀ A Series of Unfortunate Events:Ā Lemony Snicket
  4. Lisbeth SalanderĀ Millennium Trilogy:Ā Stieg Larsson
  5. Marla SingerĀ Fight Club:Ā Chuck Palahnuik
  6. Effie TrinkettĀ The Hunger Games:Ā Suzanne Collins

  8. MatildaĀ Matilda:Ā Roald Dahl
  9. Queen of HeartsĀ Alice in Wonderland:Ā Lewis Carroll
