Bout of Books 13 – Declaring my intentions

bobheader2Bout of Books is back, and I am excited. The last time I completed the Bout of Books readathon, I was an English Teacher in Thailand. Things have changed. I now call the back of a camper van in Australia home as Jade and I drive the long distance from Cairns to Sydney.

What hasn’t changed? I still love reading, and Bout of  Books.

So here we are, another few months on, still reading together across the globe. This time, I am going to set more modest goals. Between the driving and the activities, I don’t have a wealth of reading time, so I am going to set my aims low with these 4 books:

  1. My Re-read: The BFG – I can remember loving this book as a kid, and so I want to re-live the magic, and give myself a break from the ‘harder’ books I am going to (hopefully) read.
  2. Frankenstein: I started this months ago and never finished it, so I am going to give it another go and get past those pesky letters that Emma warned me about.
  3. Treasure Island: I said I would read this months ago, and never got round to it, so here it is.
  4. Love Always: I need a different book in here that is more recent and easy to read at night, so this will do nicely.

I really hope I can keep up with the challenges, but I fear that the lack of WiFi when you are on the road and in a van might cause problems with that wish.
